Job Description
AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Arlington on November 18th and 19th.
This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027.
The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm , where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.
On Thursday, interviews will take place at our Arlington office.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.
AECOM
is seeking an
Entry-Level
Traffic Engineer
to be based in
Hunt Valley, MD .
This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2027.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct traffic engineering analysis under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic traffic engineering and transportation planning problems.
Conduct fieldwork such as traffic counts and site visits.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, maps, websites, or other documentation to support findings and decision-making.
Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule.
Work collaboratively with other engineers to solve transportation challenges.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Engineer-in-Training certification (or ability to obtain).
Relevant co-op/internship experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Experience with traffic engineering or transportation planning projects for MDSHA, MDTA, municipalities, and/or other transportation agencies.
Experience with software such as
ArcGIS ,
Microstation and/or AutoCAD ,
Synchro ,
HCS ,
VISSIM ,
HSM, IHSDM
or similar tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Possess excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
